00F6-004 and 00F8-004 Error Codes Mercedes B Class Fixed.

These error codes will mostly throw an Engine Management Light on your Mercedes W245 B Class or A-Class. The engine may be struggling to start or turn off in traffic due to a rough idle state. Sometimes you get these codes after you drove on too long on your tank reserve. If you have been caught up with dirty fuel in your car. You could possibly clear the engine light by refueling and it would clear after a few starts and stops. However, if the EML stays on after a few trips, you should head to the garage for a diagnostics check.
I had a 2006 Mercedes B150 Automatic with this error codes – 00F6-004 and 00F8-004 Error Codes. Here is what I did to fix it and the error code disappeared. There was no engine management light on the dashboard.
Step 1 – I had a diagnostics machine to clear the codes but it came on after a second engine start.
Step 2 – I had a full service carried on the car with the spark plugs replaced. Then I cleared the 00F6-004 and 00F8-004 Error Codes with diagnostics equipment. The result was that lights came on after a second start.

Final Fix – Having tried the 2 steps above with no success. I had to replace the faulty part which was the throttle body. It is located under the ECU box under the bonnet hood.
It is important that you buy the part – throttle body with the exact part number.
The throttle body on my 2006 Mercedes B Class B150 1.5 was OEM Part No A266 141 0525. I went to eBay, searched for the exact part number, and bought one to do a straight swap with the faulty one. After the replacement, 00F6-004 and 00F8-004 Error Codes were cleared using the diagnostics tool and the EML went off permanently.
If after this step the EML still remained on, you will need to check with advanced diagnostic tools. This should give you more information on the faults present in the car.
